  • I am coming to the annual conference to get some business, share my social media expertise, live blog the events, and meet all the cool SHRM peeps who are suddenly tweeting in person. Thanks for the press credentials, btw!

What is SHRM planning on doing during the conference regarding the safety and prevention of the swine flu?

  • Hi SL,

SHRM will be taking precautions during the conference. According to Bob Carr, SHRM’s Chief Professional & Business Development Officer, “We will follow any and all CDC protocols for containing pandemics.”
    Thanks!

I have to confess that one of MY top 10 reasons is so I can pass some time in the ginormous exhibit hall. It’s certainly entertaining, there’s loads of info, and OK, while it’s not MY thing to collect all the ’stuff’, there’s plenty of swag and trinkets. The ultimate benefit however, is that I’ve made some vendor decisions AFTER meeting exhibitors and gathering info at Annual Conferences.

My first conference! Want to experience what I have been hearing from others.

Also, as a member I wish to take advantage of the benefits of this conference (as stated in the Top 10 Reasons to Attend).

Do HR professionals from law firms attend this conference and if so, what is the % that do attend.
