SHRM Provides Businesses H1N1 Toolkit, Podcast, and Advice In response to the H1N1 flu pandemic, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) partnered with the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, The Clorox Company, and the Community Health Charities to create tools HR professionals could use to combat H1N1 in the workplace. SHRM’s Chief HR and Content Integration Officer, Steve Miranda, recently taped a webcast about H1N1 in the workplace for the Community Health Charities. Mike Aitken, SHRM’s director of government affairs, appeared on CNN’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight” on Friday to discuss E-Verify. Early bird rates for the 2009 SHRM Strategy Conference have been extended to July 31st. The conference will be October 6 – 8 at the The Westin Kierland Resort in Phoenix. It was great to see old friends again, hear great speakers, dance around to Sheryl Crow, eat lots of good food, see the beautiful sights of New Orleans, and work hard to make sure the conference was successful. One of the eye-catching sights in New Orleans is the sculpture “Scrap House” by artist Sally Heller, located outside of the Morial Convention Center.
